Daniel Hannay

Zi Bros inside wall,
29 Sunshine Beach Rd

This eclectic wall of food icons gazes down on diners in Zi Bros. Dan Hannay’s larger than life portraiture of these culinary influencers features Marco Pierre White, arguably the first of the ‘rock star’ chefs, whose Classique technique in the kitchen isn’t the only thing he’s known for; Julia Child, the first woman to host a televised cooking program, ‘The French Chef in 1963, paved the way for future celebrity chefs; Rick Stein, seafood aficionado, celebrity chef, restaurateur, and food writer; and Anthony Bourdain, the much loved chef, television food tour guide and one of a kind personality who graced our screens for too short a time. Known for his realism using graphite and charcoal, @hannayart murals have been inspiring chefs, cooks and foodies in restaurants and cafes around Australia.
